What is our goal?
Bullying in schools is a worldwide problem. Abusive behavior among peers can
make it harder for students to exercise their right to learn in a safe and secure
environment. Bullying can have negative lifelong consequences for all the students
including bullies, victims and bystanders (Banks, 1997). Bullying is one of the biggest
challenges for modern education. This is why there’s a need to introduce a set of new
and effective anti-bullying policies and methods that will ensure a positive learning

climate in schools. It is extremely important to create a clear and transparent policy to
combat bullying. This policy should be supported by a set of processes that will assist
its implantation.
As children grow they spend more time with their peers. Peer interactions
become more and more important (Connell, Dishion, 2006). Contact with peers is
necessary in order for the socialization process to go smoothly but it can also be a
substantial source of stress. Verbal and physical abuse and systematic social
exclusion might be seen as peer maltreatment and it is often described as “bullying”

or “peer victimization” (Leyera, Copeland, Costello, Wolke, 2015).
The knowledge, skills and attitudes of teachers and parents are extremely
important in addressing these issues. The quality of their response is a key to ending
the problem effectively. Knowledge about anti-bullying strategies will help adults to
create a healthy atmosphere in school. It will also support the mental and physical

about various anti-bullying activities among teachers and parents to show them how
to work with children, who have witnessed, experienced or were perpetrators of
bullying behaviors.
We have chosen teachers for our target group because in recent years we can
see that educational focus has swung strongly towards academic targets rather than
holistic child development. Children spend a very large part of their lives at school
with their teachers. Therefore, the school and teachers must focus on the whole life
