development of their pupils. Whilst bullying statistics are
collated, practical training at the early intervention stage for teachers working with

Our aim is to develop a handbook that will help in implementing anti-bullying
activities. Moreover, various forms of art methods, their application and theoretical
perspective can be found in our materials.

Why is there a need for our project?

Bullying is a global issue; across 38 countries, one in three children report being
bullied (Currie, Zanotti, Morgan, 2012). This phenomenon is linked with physical

and/or mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, an increased risk of self-
harm and suicide attempts (Winsper, Lereya, Zanarini, Wolke, 2012; Brunstein-

Klomek, et all, 2009). The effects on health and problems with finding employment can

last into early adulthood and even midlife (Takizawa, Maughan, Arseneault, 2014).
Due to these findings it is reasonable to create resources with theoretical and practical
knowledge for teachers and parents so they can broaden their knowledge about

               bullying prevention efforts.

The materials we will provide will show how art methods can be used in the
How will we plan to achieve it?

fight against bullying. Art is often used in professional therapy centers where children
who experienced discrimination can safely express their feelings through artistic

               expression.

During the project ART AGAINST BULLYING three types of learning materials

will be prepared. They will be available on our official website. Teachers and parents
will have free access to the Handbook, E-learning course and collection of stories about
               bullying.

We will involve children, in order to show teachers how they experience
bullying. It is especially important because we believe that it will be easier to
understand the phenomenon of bullying and enrich theoretical knowledge with a

               child's personal perspective.
