Handbook authors propose anti-bullying activities for
children of different ages. It can be used by teachers who work in the countries that
are in and outside of Europe. For other than European countries some adjustment may
be needed. Proposed practices should be modified in order to be in compliance with

provide unique, innovative materials that many educators and parents will find useful
and informative.
Our team facilities are situated in various places across Europe; thanks to that
fact the project's materials will be available in English, Polish, Bulgarian, Greek,

1.2. Short summary of the handbook's contents and handbook's structure
The overall aim in producing a handbook - " Art against bullying - how to use
art in anti-bullying activities for children?" is to explore bullying, its causes and impact
on children from a different perspective.
We want to understand why children become bullies or bullying victims, what
are their behavioral patterns, how to change them, how to work with them effectively
while using various forms of art as our method of dealing with the problem.

In the first chapter of the Handbook we shortly describe how we want to carry
on our project, its goals and expected results.
In the second chapter a definition of bullying is being elaborated; the different
types and specific characteristics of bullying are explored. Authors have gathered data
regarding the short and long-term impact of bullying on bullies, victims and
bystanders.
