In the third chapter the aim is to help the reader to
recognize signs that can tell us whether a child is a victim of bullying or a bully, as well

as risk factors of taking on different roles. Authors explore similarities and differences
in bullying behaviors among boys and girls and describe the statistics of bullying and

how widespread it is in various European countries.

In the fourth chapter the main goal is to explore the ways of effective
communication. Authors will elaborate on how to have a productive conversation
with children about bullying. How a teacher can develop safe, positive relationships

with a student and how to increase trust in a classroom so children will feel
encouraged to come forward and report disturbing behaviors.

In the fifth chapter we want to show how to deal with bullying by using the

variety of methods related to artistic expression. Knowing very well that everyone
have different preferences and some forms of art might be more or less desirable for

certain students we're giving suggestion of activities that relate to visual arts like
drawing, painting, photography, literal arts like prose, poetry, performing arts like
dance and music with hope that every person working with children will find a way

that is the best for the specific group they work with.

In the sixth chapter authors will show real-life examples of art used as a method
in anti bullying activities. The ideas will be taken from NGOs and schools practices

around the world. We believe that there are many intuitions that already developed
unique ways of solving the problems among their own students. Thanks to these

resources readers will be able to create safer school environments. Final chapter will
be fully sacrificed to our recommendations for further readings so that everyone who's
interested with the topic beyond the scope of our reading materials will be able to find
suitable books, articles and websites covering the same topic but providing other,

important and helpful knowledge related to the issue.

Each chapter is supplemented with useful tips and recommendations for school staff.

               1.3 Tips & Recommendations
Policy is an umbrella term that refers to various regulatory measures, including laws, statutes

and rules. One advantage of policy interventions for bullying is that they can influence student,
teacher, and administrator behaviour as well as school organizational practices (Mead, 2009).
