Handout 1.1 LEADER QUALITIES

Objective: -To introduce trainees with the concept of ”leader”,

-To identify the leader qualities

Duration: At least 40 min, depending on the group size local-community-leaders.eu

Grup Size: Between 15-20

Required Flipchart, white paper, sheets, writing instruments, video projector

Items: and laptop, internet connection.

Step by steps The trainees are asked to give a definition of a leader. If they prefer,
instructions: they may define a leader through a personality. All the definitions are

collected in a paper of flipchart.

Time: 15 min

Afterwards, participants will be splitted in 3 or 4 groups and they

will be asked to develop a Mind Map about a leader's qualities. At

the end, one representative from each group will present their ideas.

All the ideas will be written on a flipchart and discussed within the

whole group in order to define which one is the most important and

effective.

Time: 20 min
