of mentoring relationships and what are the different kinds of mentoring models. The
benefits of mentoring for mentor and mentee are discussed. Readers also learn about the
adult learning principles and the ethics for the mentoring process. The third chapter
gathers good practices from many European countries regarding mentoring and
community leadership practices. In the fourth chapter, the authors present the research
results of questionnaires that were created for senior community leaders. During the
questionnaire, research leaders active within their communities shared their knowledge
and experiences that can be useful in further understanding of topics discussed in the
Handbook. In the fifth chapter other resources such as additional readings,
recommendations, bibliography and references can be found. Second part of the
Handbook will contain the guide and tips (recommendations) for the NGOs and other
institutions working on the local levels. Authors will explain how to organize the
mentoring between the local leaders.
