                Handout 5.1                             The name game
                Objective:           getting to know each other, building trust, learning names,
                                     creating a positive atmosphere among the group members
                Duration:             30 minutes
                Group Size:          around 15 people
                Required Items:      -

                Step by steps        1. Trainer asks participants to tell one fun fact about themselves
                instructions:        as well as share their name and its meaning.
                                     For example: my name is Zuzanna. The meaning of my name is "lily
                                     flower". When I was a child, I took figure skating lessons.
                                     2. Trainer asks the participants to find the person whose birthday

                                     is closest to the day of their training. After identifying this person,
                                     the trainer asks him or her to start speaking.
                                     3. After the training participant finishes talking they pick another
                                     person from the group that should speak next.
                                     4. The game ends when everyone has a chance to speak.

                Handout 5.2                             What is mentoring?


                Objective:           learning about “mentoring” definition, teamwork, boosting
                                     curiosity and interest regarding the main topic of the session
                Duration:            30 minutes

                Required Items:      sheets of paper, writing utensils, flipchart or online training
                                     software


                Step by steps        1. Trainer asks the participants to write down their definition of
                instructions:        mentoring on the sheet of paper.
                                     2. Trainer asks the participants to read aloud what they created.
